What is the story behind What Happened to Andrew Chang and Where Is He Now? Explore the insights in this feature article.

In June 2022, the CBC announced that Andrew Chang was stepping away from The National.

However, he is not going anywhere – he is hosting a new daily program for the channel’s upcoming streaming news service.

The change came as CBC announced several changes, including Arsenault serving as the sole weekday anchor and Hanomansing continuing to anchor on Friday and Sunday.

On November 30, 2022, Chang’s About That program launched on CBC News Explore.

The new service aims to target audiences streaming live and on-demand through the CBC News App, website, CBC Gem, or via social media platforms like YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, etc.

CBC News Explore strives to bring the best of CBC News video, current affairs, and other content, in addition to some original shows, like About That, hosted by Andrew Chang.

About That wants to expand everyone’s understanding of trending stories with openness and genuine curiosity.

As the team puts it, Chang finds “the awesome in the daily news” and deepens into topics with a sense of wonder and a clear focus.

While the show airs live on CBC News Explore at 11 am ET, it can also be watched at any time of the day on demand.

Other original shows featured on CBC News Explore will include This Week In Canada, BIG, Planet Wonder, and Playlists.

As things stand, we do not need to worry. Andrew Chang is not going anywhere – he is instead in charge of a new CBC program.

Besides, Chang recently bought a two-bedroom condo near Yonge and Eglinton, which appeared to him as the perfect mix of the hustle and bustle, great eating, exciting places, and family friendliness.

During his leisure time, he does a lot of hiking, plays board games, or snuggles in a log cabin.
