Kim Adams has had a successful career as a meteorologist and broadcast journalist over three decades.
She started her career as an intern at a radio station while studying meteorology. Then, she worked as a meteorologist at television stations in Ohio for a few years.
In 1997, she became the first female meteorologist on television in Detroit when she joined WXYZ-TV.
She forecasted the weather on their broadcasts for several years. In 2002, she joined WDIV-TV in Detroit as a weather anchor for seven years.
In the later stages of her career, Kim focused more on radio. She hosted shows on multiple radio stations, discussing weather and other topics.
Most recently, in 2022, she rejoined WDIV-TV once again as their chief meteorologist. Throughout her career, Kim has received many prestigious awards for her excellent and accurate weather forecasting. She is considered an authority in her field in the Detroit area.
