Jimmy’s parents were well aware of this and made certain that their kid attended school. During his early years, he attended St. Ignatius School, where he played trombone in the school band. He afterwards enrolled in the McGill Institute for Boys, where he graduated in 1964. After graduating from the McGill Institute for Boys, he continued his education at Aubum University. He enrolled in Pearl River Community College as well as the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in history from the university in 1969.
