Ruth Post is a model of the early 90s and the former wife of the famous actor Ian McShane. The duo met in Manchester through Ian’s friendship with soccer star George Best. The pair were in a long-distance relationship for two years before deciding to exchange their vows. This couple tied their wedding knot at Kensington Registry Office, London, on Jun 8, 1968.
Unfortunately, the marriage did not last, and the former duo divorced in Mach 1977. Later, in an interview, Ruth Post’s ex-husband described their marriage as a disaster. Their marriage reportedly ended because of Ian’s eight-month-long affair with Dutch model and actress Sylvia Kristel. Ian and Sylvia met on the set of The Fifth Musketeer and dated for five years.
Furthermore, Ian shares custody of two children, his daughter, Kate McShane, born in 1971, and his son, Morgan McShane, born in 1975, with his former spouse. Ian McShane’s ex-wife told a newspaper in 1995 that he was a tight-fisted skinflint who ignored all his fatherhood responsibilities and was a lousy dad.
