Harlow is the youngest child of Nancy McKeon and her husband, Marc Andrus, an actress. She was born in December 2006, less than two years after her older sister Aurora Andrus.
Harlow’s parents wanted their children to grow up away from the spotlight, so they relocated to a ranch near Austin, Texas, shortly after their birth. Nancy McKeon, Harlow’s mother, even took a break from acting to spend time with her daughters. She stated in an interview:
“I just love what I do, but I’ve been given this incredible gift of my husband and children, and I didn’t want to miss out on this small amount of time you get with them,” she says.
However, as Harlow and her sister grew older, McKeon decided to make a comeback to television with Dancing With the Stars in order to show her daughters that they should be brave and that changes in life can be brought about if they step outside of their comfort zone.
