When she was 5, a tornado came through and blew a massive pine tree over half of the house. Christina has been obsessed with the weather ever since. Previously coming to ABC12, she served as a meteorologist and one-man-band reporter at the NBC/ABC affiliate in Traverse City, Michigan. She’s delighted to be back a little closer to home.
Following serving as a research assistant for the University of Michigan, Christina finished an internship at WDIV in Detroit and realized broadcasting is what she likes to do. Christina was chosen for the MSU Great Plains storm chase and assisted her school forecasting team to bring home their first championship in the University of Oklahoma Weather Challenge.
Some of Christina’s colleagues at ABC include:
Krista Fogelsong -anchor
Sonia Azad –health reporter
Eric Alvarez – reporter
Spencer Christian -weather forecaster
Ellen Leyva– anchor
Matt Leach -chief meteorologist
