Khanum Faizah Zaharie Ahmad Shah was a 16-year-old student when she supposedly met Mustafa Khan, and the two fell in love right away.
The Shah joined Malaysia Airlines as a trainee pilot in his early twenties in 1981, thus they were able to settle down rather fast.
Even though they were financially secure, their marriage was sadly not going well. In fact, it was disintegrating. His wife accused him of having an extramarital affair prior to the regrettable occurrence in 2014.
Following the 2014 disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, Faizah left the home she shared with Zaharie. Since then, she has mostly avoided the spotlight and has refrained from speaking with the media or doing interviews.
