American Actor Jesse Tyler Ferguson is from the country. In Missoula, Montana, he was born to Anne Ferguson (née Doyle) and Robert “Bob” Ferguson. When he was 18, his parents divorced. Ferguson has two siblings: Ben Ferguson and Kelly Ferguson.
He was named after his paternal grandmother, Jessie Uppercue Ferguson, with whom he had a close relationship as a child. Jesse was also the name of his paternal great-grandfather.
When he was a child, his family was forced to relocate to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he was raised. He is Irish, English, German, Scottish, distant Dutch and Welsh, and remote French.
He became an Actor when he was nine years old and joined the Albuquerque Children’s Theater, where he stayed for six years.
Ferguson attended St. Pius X High School in Albuquerque, where he portrayed Albert Peterson in Bye Bye Birdie and General Bullmoose in Li’l Abner.
He graduated in 1994 after participating on the speech and debate team. Cliff’s Amusement Park employed him as a dancer/singer.
After high school, Ferguson went to The American Musical show and Dramatic (AMDA) in New York City.
