Parsons went to Oak Grove-Coburn School in Maine. She went on to Connecticut College for her bachelor’s degree, which she received in 1949. She also studied law at Boston University. At the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, Estelle also received Method Acting training. Aside from that, she studied acting at the Michael Howard Studios in New York City.
