Milfred and Doris Arnold Palmer was born on September 10, 1929, and died on September 25, 2016.
Palmer learnt golf from his father, and he received instruction from him at an early age. He had a wonderful relationship with his parents.
In terms of the golfer family, he married Winnie Walzer, with whom he had two children. The couple had been married for over 45 years when his wife died of cancer in 1999.
Sam Saunders is the grandchild of one of his daughters; he has never spoken publicly about her.
He married Kathleen Gawthrop again in 2005, and they remained married until his death.
