In 2023, Nikita Tszyu will be 25 years old. He was born in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, in 1994. He is the brother of boxer Tim Tszyu and the son of former world champion boxer Kostya Tszyu, both of Russian descent. The siblings are three years apart in age. Along with Tim, he also has two half-siblings and a stepmother named Tatiana Averina.
Tszyu has a mixed ancestry; his mother is of Russian ancestry while his father is of ethnic Korean, Mongolian, and Russian ancestry. He is an Australian citizen. Despite coming from a family of boxers, Tszyu initially chose to focus on his studies over boxing, giving up the sport at the age of 16.
After completing his studies at Newington College in 2015, he enrolled in the University of Technology Sydney’s Bachelor of Architecture Design program and spent some time working in the field. He didn’t start boxing again and establish himself as a rising star in the sport until he was 23 years old.
