A stranger was killed by Kelsey Parker new boyfriend in 2013 while they were both waiting for a taxi outside an east London bar.
But the electrician served time in jail for fatally striking Shaun McDermott, 44, outside the Havering Oak pub in Romford after a heated fight over a taxi.
When an argument with the 44-year-old broke out as Boggans was waiting for his then-girlfriend to pick him up, the 44-year-old was knocked to the ground.
Later, the electrician was seen on CCTV footage leaving the site.
At around one in the morning, officers found Mr. McDermott, who had suffered a cerebral hemorrhage, lying on the sidewalk.
A judge at the Old Bailey sentenced Boggans to four years in prison after a postmortem revealed that he had suffered brain injuries and died as a result.
Before leaving for home, Mr. McDermott had been drinking at the neighboring Wheatsheaf tavern with two of his sisters, Maureen and Kathy.
