Jessica Mauboy husband is Themeli Magripilis. She started a long-distance relationship with Darwin-born, Greek-descent soccer player and council worker Themeli “Magoo” Magripilis in January 2009.
Magripilis for Hellenic Athletic, the same team that Sophia, Mauboy’s younger sister, played for in the Darwin soccer league.
Magripilis moved from Darwin to Sydney in September 2016 and moved in with Mauboy after seven years of long-distance courting. The union took place on July 9, 2022, in Darwin.
Mauboy returns to Darwin to see her family when she is not working. She is a die-hard supporter of the NRL team North Queensland Cowboys.
Jess responded that one important aspect of the couple’s 13-year relationship was their separate families ‘coming to know each other when asked how it functions.
The fact that our parents get along, she continued, is what makes their relationship special.
In 2019, while on vacation in Greece, Jessica and Themeli, who have been dating since they were 18 years old, were engaged.
Even though the pair wants children, Jess admits it might be some time before she and Them add to their family.
“I can picture myself having children and getting married, but it’s difficult when you’re in the middle of a creative project.
You simply want to devote every ounce of your being to the endeavor, she said to Who in 2019.
“My sisters often ask me, ‘When are we going to have a little Jess or a little Themeli running around?’ When are you going to have a baby? ask Them’s parents, who are becoming older.
