Nola, a baseball player, best known as the catcher for the San Diego Padres and Seattle Mariners, was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on December 28, 1989.
He is the oldest child of Stacie Nola, a part-time secretary, and A. J. Nola, a baseball coach, and owner of a remodeling and construction company.
Aaron, his younger brother, later became a pitcher for the Major League Baseball team Philadelphia Phillies (MLB). Richard Barrios, their maternal grandpa, previously held the position of sergeant at arms for the Louisiana House of Representatives.
Early on, Nola developed a love for baseball and frequently played catch with his father in their backyard after school. Throughout their youth, A. J. also coached baseball for Austin and Aaron.
