KOCO TV morning news anchor took to her social media to inform her fans about her departure from the station. Notably, the journalist joined the Oklahoma City-based station in October 2020.
On Friday, the journalist wrote, “It’s been an incredible 3 years back here in this gem of a city that’s become a second home.”
Shelby also expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the entire KOCO team, a group of talented journalists who have been her second family.
Moreover, she also thanked her viewers, whose constant support made her decision to leave incredibly difficult.
The television personality spoke of the need for reflection, after more than a decade of constant movement, new homes, and relentless pursuit of her dreams and passions.
Her journey has been an incredible adventure, filled with lifelong friendships and experiences she wouldn’t trade for anything.
However, the gorgeous anchor acknowledged that this journey has not been without its sacrifices.
The constant state of being on the go has taken a toll, and now, she feels the time has come to pause, reflect, and perhaps chart a new course for her future.
In her words, “It’s been a wonderful and adventurous journey, I’ve made some lifelong friends and I wouldn’t change a thing. But it hasn’t been without its sacrifices.”
