Park Jeong-su was born in Seoul, South Korea, on July 1, 1983. Park Yong-in and Yoo Sook-young have a younger son named Park Yong-in. Park In-young, his older sister, is his only sibling. She is also a well-known singer and actor.

Leeteuk’s parents divorced when he was 15 years old. He has spoken up about his parents’ media relationship. After graduating from high school, the Seoul native enrolled in Paekche Institute of the Arts, but later transferred to Incheon’s Inha University.
