Khatia Buniatishvili’s exceptional talent and hard work led her to sign an exclusive contract with Sony Classical in 2010, paving the way for a successful career as a classical pianist.
Her debut album, released in 2011, featured some of Franz Liszt’s most iconic pieces, including the Sonata in B minor, Liebestraum No. 3, and Mephisto Waltz No. 1.
Buniatishvili’s talent quickly earned her a reputation as one of her generation’s most exciting and technically gifted young pianists.
She has since become a regular attendee of the Verbier Festival, one of the most prestigious music festivals in the world. At the 2011 festival, she showcased her exceptional abilities by performing Liszt’s Sonata in B minor to great acclaim.
Following her debut album’s success, Buniatishvili released her second album, Chopin, in 2012. The album featured some of Chopin’s most iconic solo piano works and his Piano Concerto No. 2 in F minor, accompanied by the Orchestre de Paris and Paavo Järvi.
The Guardian praised Buniatishvili’s performance, stating, “This is playing straight from the heart of one of today’s most exciting and technically gifted young pianists.”
