Makota and Junko Hijikata welcomed Rinky into the world on February 23, 2001, in Sydney, Australia. As a well-known tennis coach, Rinky’s father probably ignited his passion for the game by teaching him the game from an early age.
The parents of Rinky’s two siblings, Kamiyu and Shori Hijikata, are the same. The Hijikata family’s origins are in Nonthaburi, Thailand; Rinky’s parents emigrated to Australia in quest of a better life for themselves.
