Trevor Milton | Bio, Age, Net Worth, Relationship, Career
In 2001, Trevor Milton established an alarm sales firm to begin his professional career as a businessman.
His business colleague said that his parting money was “much smaller” than the $300,000 he received when he explicitly departed the firm.
He then started a website for online classified advertisements that sold used automobiles, but it was a tremendous failure for him.
His firm, diHybrid Incorporation, which manufactures alternative energy cars, was the next step in his commercial career.
His business earned a sizable profit in 2012 because of a truck-conversion agreement, it had with Swift Transportation.
In 2014, he sold his business to Worthington Industries. After he and his brother Travis co-founded Nikola Motor Company in 2015, Milton gained notoriety.
He served as executive chairman of the corporation from its inception until his resignation in 2020. He also owns 25% of the firm he co-founded, and he is on the 2020 edition of Forbes World Billionaire List.
On September 20, 2020, he resigned from his position as executive chairman of the firm after Hindenburg Research published a study accusing him of making false claims and believing Nikola Motor firm to be a hoax for a long time.
His business connected with General Motors before he was charged by Hindenburg Research. However, since the accusation report was published by Hindenburg Research, the stock price of his firm has been falling steadily.
Milton tweeted in reaction to the accusations: “I intend to defend myself against false allegations leveled against me by outside detractors.”
