This is because he believes her appearance at Kansas City Chiefs games, as well as her practical NFL presence, has drawn supporters’ focus away from on-field actions. Dungy recently expressed concern about the “Taylor Swift effect” during an appearance with Fox News.
He believes it pulls the emphasis away from the genuine game. Furthermore, he stated that the growing impact of entertainment and other elements is causing dissatisfaction with sports. Furthermore, these distractions take away from what happens on the pitch. However, Dungy’s point of view is not specifically aimed at Taylor Swift.
It’s more of a shot at the idea of celebrities and entertainment taking the focus away from the games. He believes that the focus should be on on-field results. Dungy also thinks that the rising influence of other factors, such as celebrities attending games, adds to a drop in fan participation.
