Tony received three All-WIAC (Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) honors from 1999 to 2001. In 2000 and 2001, he received two consecutive All-American nods.
The top positional student-athletes in a given sport make form an All-America team; in high school or college, they are referred to as “All-Americans.” He was also enshrined in the UW-Stout Athletic Hall of Fame in 2011. The WIAC named Tony’s group the “All Bicentennial Team.”
During the All-American football game, Tony’s squad was recognized as the Division III 2000 All-Decade Team. He has faced 58 tackles in his career and has intercepted nine passes. One interception he had was eventually returned in the second half.
