In the 1982 Annie film, Toni Ann Gisondi portrayed Molly, the youngest orphan. When she was cast, she was only six years old.
At the 1981–1982 Young Artist Awards, Gisondi was nominated for “Best Young Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture”. It’s a remarkable achievement to be allowed to submit an award nomination for a first film.
It’s the Hard Knock-up Life, the movie’s popular soundtrack record, featured a noteworthy contribution by Toni as well. In the movie, Molly is cherished for her charming and comforting demeanor amidst the other orphans.
After 40 years, the Annie cast got back again in September 2022. At the gathering, Toni and Rosanne Sorrentino were spotted together.
