Josh Dobbs has had Alopecia Areata for almost 20 years.
Also, a lot of people seem to think that the player’s hair loss is because of Cancer. He does not have Cancer. Instead, he has Alopecia Areata, an autoimmune disease that causes him to lose a lot of hair.
Dobbs was eight years old and in the third grade when he got the news. In an interview, he talked about how the first treatments made his hair grow. But when he was in high school, his hairline began to go back. By the time he finished high school, he had lost all of his eyelashes and eyebrows.
Cortisone shots kept him from going bald until he was a senior. He had to get cortisone shots once a week to stop losing his hair.
