In the sixth episode, Golden Bachelor fans followed Gerry on his hometown dates with Faith Martin, Leslie Fhima, and Theresa Nist. For those unaware, it's a bit strange that there wasn't a fourth date because, in the original shows, there are always four hometown dates followed by three women receiving Fantasy Suite dates.

However, filming for The Golden Bachelor only lasted about a month. The Bachelor and Bachelorette have a shooting schedule that can span anywhere from six to nine weeks, so a quicker turnaround required some cuts.

As stated before, the top three women vying for Gerry's heart are Faith Martin, Leslie Fhima, and Theresa Nist. All of these hometown dates were filmed between August 19 and 23, with Gerry narrowing it down to two women before whisking them away to Costa Rica to meet his family.

Despite declaring his love for her in front of her family, Gerry made the difficult decision to eliminate Faith. He then whisked Leslie and Theresa away to Costa Rica for Fantasy Suites and the chance to meet with his family.
