FIR filed against Tathya Patel and his father after deadly accident
According to Section 506 of the IPC, Tathya Patel and his father, Pragnesh Patel, were accused of criminal intimidation.
They were also accused of violating Section 279 of the IPC when they operated a vehicle negligently.
Additionally, they were charged under Section 338 IPC with grievous bodily harm by conduct endangering life.
Their most serious accusation was a culpable homicide that did not constitute murder (Section 304 IPC).
The police acted quickly, detaining three girls in Tathya’s Jaguar automobile and the father and son at the time of the collision.
The case will be heard in a fast-track court to ensure the victims receive justice quickly.
The three females from the car were among the witnesses gathered by police to piece together the sequence of events that led to the bridge accident.
To establish strategies to prevent nationwide overspeeding events in the future, Chief Minister Patel met with top police officers.
Since most of the victims were young foreign visitors, their families urged the offenders to face harsh punishment.
