Tamar Braxton, born on March 17, 1977, in Severn, Maryland, was destined for a life in music. Coming from a musical family, she followed in the footsteps of her older sister, Toni Braxton, and began her career as a member of the R&B group, The Braxtons. Despite initial challenges and setbacks, Tamar persevered and eventually found her path to success.
As a member of The Braxtons, Tamar and her sisters signed a record deal with Arista Records in the early 1990s. However, they were dropped from the label before releasing their debut album. Undeterred, Tamar continued to pursue her passion for music and eventually embarked on a solo career.
