When Ellen asked Madonna, Stelle Ciccone’s mother, how she felt when her eldest daughter, Lourdes Leon, was forced to leave her for college, Madonna revealed she had a traumatic experience and even fell into a deep depression.
The only thing that brought her back to life was when Lourdes called to express how much she missed being around her. These conversations reassured her that she is still needed and desired. Ellen inquired whether her daughter introduces her to the men she dates, to which Madonna responded that she does.
She described how he visited their house on weekends and spent the weekend with them, describing him as an intelligent and sensible gentleman a year older than her daughter. Ellen then inquired candidly about Madonna’s youngest boyfriend in the last five years.
Madonna mentioned when she moved to New York; at the age of 18, she dated a 16-year-old. When Ellen stated that she has always been attracted to young men, she stated that she has dated a variety of men, including Warren Beatty.
Ellen was taken aback when Madonna mentioned the 22-year-old who was the youngest guy she dated in the last six years. When Madonna discussed her daughter, she revealed that she is required to stay in her dorm whenever she visits her at Michigan University and is not permitted to accompany her out on the streets.
