She began her modeling career. Before entering Bollywood, she competed in a fashion show, which she won. Following that, she began receiving calls from modeling agencies and the film industry. In 1994, she made her acting debut with the film “Aag.” She was only 19 years old at the time.
Despite the fact that this film was a flop, Sonali rose to fame thanks to her superhit Bollywood films such as “Naaraaz” (1994), “Diljale” (1996), “Sarfarosh” (1999), “Zakham” (1998), “Hum Sath Sath Hai” (1999), “Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai” (2000), “Kal Ho Na Ho” (2003), and many more.
