He completed two weeks of fill-in work on WFAN in July 2010 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m with Marc Malusis, Kimberly Jones, and Anita Marks for Joe Benigno and Evan Roberts. The latter was filling in for Mike Francesa from 1 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Mark Chernoff from WFAN told Newsday of Long Island’s Neil Best that he was very impressed after the return of Sid to the FAN. However, there was very little that he could do in order to make the temporary hosting in New York anything more than temporary.
Sid started serving as a weekday morning sports anchor for 1010 WINS, WFAN’s sister station in 2011 but left the station the following year. CBS had neglected to invite Sid to WFAN’s 25th Anniversary celebration but in 2012, Craig Carton welcomed him back.
