In his sophomore season, Cody averaged 6.0 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game. The Martin twins were outstanding in the NCAA Tournament, leading NC State to the Sweet 16. From 2014 to 2016, they were at NC State. As sophomores, both Martin twins averaged more than 25 minutes per game and were key contributors in college basketball’s toughest conference.
The Martin twins joined Nevada in 2017 after two seasons in college. They had faith in Nevada’s Eric Musselman as a coach. He chose the Wolf Pack over Rutgers and became one of the most highly recruited players in school history. The teammates identified Martin twins as the team leader after analyzing their dedication and hard work. Martin led the Wolf Pack to an NCAA Tournament appearance with 14 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game.
After the season ended, the Martin twins declared for the 2018 NBA draft. They didn’t hire an agent, which allowed them to return to school. Both were invited to the NBA Draft Combine that year, but decided to finish their senior seasons in Nevada. Martin was named Mountain West Conference Defensive Player of the Year in 2018.He was named to the MWC Preseason Team his senior year.
