Gillis can be heard on Sirius XM’s Comedy Central show The Bonfire with Big Jay Oakerson and Dan Soder. He also appears on The Doug Stanhope Podcast and the GaS Digital Network comedy podcasts Legion of Skanks and The Real Ass Podcast. In addition, he and fellow stand-up comic Matt McCusker co-host Matt and Shane’s Secret Podcast.
In 2019, Gillis was chosen one of Just for Laughs’ “New Faces” at the festival’s annual comedy festival. He gained national news the same year when he was introduced as a new cast member on Saturday Night Live, a sketch comedy show. After using racial and homophobic insults in an episode of Matt and Shane’s Secret Podcast in 2018, he was removed from the podcast after only four days.
Through Comedy Central live performances and podcasts with other industry luminaries, the comic has amassed a sizable fortune.
