On October 9, 1975, Sean Lennon was born in New York City, New York. He was John and Yoko Ono’s son. Sean is of Welsh, Irish, and English ancestry on his father’s side and Japanese ancestry on his mother’s side. He has a half-sister named Kyoko Chan Cox and a half-brother named Julian Lennon.
Before traveling to New York to attend the Ethical Culture Fieldston and Dalton Schools, Sean began kindergarten in Tokyo. Later, he went to the exclusive Swiss boarding school Institut Le Rosey in Rolle.
At a birthday celebration held by Sean Lennon’s mother in January 1984, Steve Jobs presented him with his first Macintosh computer. When he was five years old, he started writing music.
He read a narrative on his mother’s “Season of Glass” album, which was published in 1981. Together with his mother, he worked on several additional albums, including “Onobox.”
