Scott was born and reared in Sudbury, Massachusetts, in the United States. Bob Evans, a dentist, and Lisa Evans, a dancer who subsequently became the artistic director of the Concord Youth Theater, are his parents. He has two sisters, Carly and Shanna, as well as an elder brother, Chris Evans, who is an actor.
Scott Evans received his schooling at New York University, where he studied theatre. He is out and proudly gay. He came out when he was 19 years old. His nationality is also American, and he is of white ethnicity.
