Vijay was admired by Sangeeta Sornalingam before they were married. She started to admire his activities when his movie “Poove Unakkaga” gained popularity.
Sangeeta first met Vijay in the UK, where he was shooting his upcoming movie. Sangeeta’s parents were invited to join Vijay for dinner at his home because of his admiration for her beauty.
The parents of Vijay and Sangeeta struck up a lot of interesting conversations when they first met. When Vijay’s parents met Sangeeta’s family, they had no idea that their son had grown fond of them.
Afterward, Vijay set up a second meeting between his parents and Sangeeta and her parents. When their families met, Sangeeta was there in Chennai.
Finally, during the second meeting, Vijay’s father asked Sangeetha if she was interested in being married to Vijay. Sangeetha concurred, too. On August 25, 1999, Vijay and Sangeeta Somalingam have been wed. The second of Vijay’s two children are named Sangeeta.
Her oldest child, Jason Sanjay, was born in London in 2000. Their daughter Divya Shasha was born in Chennai in the year 2005.
She made her acting debut in 2009 as a child actor in the movie Vettaikaaran, and her son has since followed in his father’s footsteps. In this movie, Vijay played the lead role. In the movie “There,” Sangeeta’s daughter made her acting debut in 2016.
