Rudy Meredith became involved in Operation Varsity Blues after attempting to profit from his position at Yale University. According to a court document, he received $860,000 in bribes from Rick Singer.
After being apprehended by the FBI, he cooperated with the investigation team. In March of 2019, he pled guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud and honest service fraud. In May of 2018, he agreed to forfeit all of the bribes he accepted and handed over $300,000 to the FBI.
As of March 2021, Yale’s head coach will be out of the public eye. As a result, we don’t have any new information about Rudy’s current condition. But one thing is certain: his sentence has yet to be announced.
