A Long Island man has been charged with murder in connection with the death of a 39-year-old woman who was found lying next to a garbage. Rebecca Carlson, 39, of Hempstead, whose corpse was found on Tuesday, February 14, in South Hempstead, was slain, according to the Nassau County Police.
On March 2, Andrew D. Avila, 25, of Elmont, was accused of killing her. Officers were contacted in response to a complaint that a lady had been discovered unresponsive next to trash behind Advanced Auto Parts, located at 1140 Grand Avenue. The lady, Carlson, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Police.
