Prior to her tragic death on November 28, 2023, Queenzy Cheng fought a courageous struggle against an uncommon and severe kind of cancer.
Her symptoms, which included exhaustion, weight loss, and stomach discomfort, were identified in March 2023. As a result, she had a number of therapies, including chemotherapy and surgery.
She had fought valiantly, but the cancer had spread and was now incurable.
Cheng made the terrible choice to stop her therapy in October 2023, choosing to pass away at home with her loved ones at her side.
Cheng was born in Kangar, Perlis, Malaysia, on February 26, 1986. At the age of five, he made his solo performance debut.
Her first CD was released at the age of eight thanks to her extraordinary skill, and in 2001 she co-founded the M-Girls group, which is often compared to the S.H.E. of Malaysia.
The quintet mostly catered to the Chinese New Year market, releasing over 20 CDs. Cheng, known for her dynamic personality and varied voice, pursued a solo career in addition to working with other musicians.
She left a long-lasting legacy that goes beyond her contributions to the entertainment industry, and she was respected for her charity initiatives in addition to her musical achievements.
