On January 12, 1977, Piolo Jose Nonato Pascual was born at the Ospital ng Maynila Medical Center in Malate, Manila.
He is Amelia “Amy” Nonato Pascual and Philip Victoriano Pascual’s youngest child.
His father oversaw the casting for foreign movies filmed in the Philippines.
Piolo attended St. Francis School in Santa Ana, Manila, for his elementary and high school education.
Similarly, Piolo became interested in acting and theater in the fifth grade when he joined the school’s Teatro Ni Kiko club.
As a third-year high school student, Piolo began appearing on That’s Entertainment, a well-liked teen variety show aired in the 1990s.
But finally, he quit That’s Entertainment to enroll in college full-time at the University of Santo Tomas (UST), where he majored in AB General Education.
Later, when he prepared to immigrate to the United States, he switched to physical therapy.
However, Piolo postponed his studies and professional goals in 1996 to move to the United States.
