The Irish golfer established the Paul McGinley Golf Academy in Quinta do Lago, Portugal, in 2011. A few years later, in 2016, McGinley partnered with Kilkenny’s Mount Juliet Estate to open the first “Paul McGinley Golf Academy.” According to sources, the golfer invested €3 million in the Mount Juliet Estate complex, which spans 492 acres.
Throughout the years, the Irishman has also sponsored various organizations, indicating his commitment to give back to the community. He established The McGinley Foundation in 2013, and as Ryder Cup Captain, he supported four causes. He chose Amber, Clic Sargent, the Society of St Vincents de Pail, and The Tour Players Charity as recipients of his donations.
Paul has recently donated to Women for Women, Royal Ballet School, Friends of the Coombe, and AslAm. McGinley remains one of the few former golfers who does not use social media. He is seen using the social networking tool X, formerly Twitter, albeit we see him more during his Sky Sports punditry duties.
