He joined Channel 2 WGRZ-TV News based in Buffalo, New York City in June 2015. Currently, Patrick serves as the chief meteorologist for the station. Prior to working at WGRZ-TV, he launched his journalism career in Chico, California as a chief meteorologist for KNVN NBC 24 News. Patrick worked here from July 1996 to August 2000.
Later, he was hired by KRQE-TV Channel 13 News based in Albuquerque, New Mexico Area. While here, Patrick worked as a morning meteorologist from September 2000 to April 2003.
From April to May 2003, he worked in Greater Seattle Area as a meteorologist for KIRO-TV. Later on, Patrick relocated to Greater Minneapolis in St. Paul Area. Here, he worked for US Nordic Ski Team as a meteorologist from July 2006 to September 2009.
Afterward, Patrick transferred to KSTP-TV and served as a meteorologist from 2005 to 2014. While here, he was a morning and mid-day meteorologist and covered severe weather coverage. Patrick also filled in for Twin Cities Live Host. From January 2015 to March, Patrick worked as a meteorologist for KARE 11 News.
