Arterio Morris, a rising star in the basketball world, was born on 18 April 2003 in Memphis, Tennessee. As of 2023, he is 20 years old athlete who has experienced a rollercoaster-like college basketball career.
In the 2022-23 season, Arterio donned the Texas Longhorns jersey, where he displayed flashes of his basketball prowess. However, his playing time was limited, averaging 4.6 points, 1.4 rebounds, as well as 0.5 assists per game in 38 appearances.
The Texas native’s career took a dark turn when he faced legal troubles in Texas, being arrested and charged with assault in 2022.
Seeking a fresh start, Morris transferred to the Kansas Jayhawks in 2023. He was expected to be a key asset for the Jayhawks due to his previous five-star recruit status and being the top-ranked point guard in the 2022 class.
Unfortunately, the young player never had the opportunity to showcase his talent for Kansas.
In September 2023, he faced another arrest, this time on charges of rape, leading to an indefinite suspension and his ultimate dismissal from the program in October 2023.
Arterio Morris has set his sights on redemption with his basketball career in jeopardy. He aims to revive his career by playing for Los Angeles Southwest College, a junior college in California.
Morris hopes this will be a stepping stone for another chance at a Division I school. He has yet to hit the court for the Cougars, as their season is scheduled to begin in November 2023.
