Elizabeth began golfing as a child. She was on her high school’s golf team. In 2012, Junior Golf Scoreboard placed Szokol second in her class in the state of Illinois. Elizabeth won the amateur state championship in 2010 and was in the top ten at both the junior and senior Illinois State High School Championships.
Following her high school graduation, Elizabeth pledged to play golf at Northwestern University. As a freshman, she competed in eight events and shot a 76.70 scoring average with three rounds of par or better. Szokol played a key role in the university’s tie for first place and a share of the inaugural title. For her junior year, Elizabeth transferred to the University of Virginia. After completing her college studies, she was recognized as an honorable mention All-American by the WGCA.
Elizabeth’s professional career began with two seasons on the Symetra Tour. She obtained her LPGA card in 2019 and has since competed in the event.
