Wyle received his first acting role in the NBC mini-series, Blind Faith when he was just 17 years old. In 1991, he made his debut feature picture titled Crooked Hearts. 

Apart from the medical drama, ER, the talented actor has also featured in several series in notable roles including Flynn Carsen in The Librarian franchise (2004–2018) and Tom Mason in the Steven Spielberg produced show Falling Skies (2011–2015). 

He also appeared in movies like A Few Good Me, Swing Kids, The Myth of Fingerprints, and many more.

More recently, Wyle was nominated for a Critics' Choice Television Award in 2019 for his portrayal of Daniel Calder in the television miniseries The Red Line. The show explored some of America's darkest realities, allowing him to highlight his incredible talent. 

Also, the ER star joined the cast of IMDb TV’s upcoming crime drama Leverage: Redemption as Harry Wilson. He is all set to portray a high-powered advocate and fixer for an opioid tycoon, Fletcher Maxwell played by Reed Diamond. 

In a July 5, 2021 interview with TV Line, Wyle described his character as a bad guy who didn't know he was a bad guy.

According to him, Wilson was so focused on his own competence that he didn't know what his abilities were inspiring other individuals to do.
