Valerie Parr Hill began her career as a public servant after graduating in the 1980s. At the same time, she generated funds for higher education, wildlife conservation, and fine arts institutions.
Valerie had a strong interest in hospitality, therefore she began producing elegant home ornaments for profit. Her net worth is believed to be $300,000, which is comparable to that of television celebrities Kaitlyn Leeb and Meghan O’Toole King.
In 1991, Parr established her own company, The Valerie Parr Company. Valerie’s career was transformed when she signed a contract with QVC while representing wreath sellers. In September 1993, the mother of two made her QVC debut on the show Decorating with Wreaths. Later, Jane Treacy presented the show.
In 1996, the 64-year-old forged an exclusive deal with QVC and went on to become the most successful home décor personality. Not only that, but Parr Hills has written her own home decor book, “Decorating for the Holidays.” Parr Hill can also be seen on QVC shows such as Heartfelt Holidays, Home Fragrances, and Heartfelt Homes.
