Fugit graduated from East High School after completing his primary education. During his school years, he was diagnosed with ADHD. When he was in seventh grade and working as a shoemaker, he put on a show with 12 dancing princesses. Fugit made her acting debut in Almost Famous as a young fan-turned-reporter. Many people praised his work, and he went on to be offered a variety of different opportunities in the future. Working as Richard Kelly in Donnie Darko is also regarded as one of the most successful projects ever performed. In 2009, he played Evra Von in Cirque du Freak: The Vampire Assistant.
