Nate Monroe is an American journalist and sports columnist. Currently, he serves as a Metro columnist at The Florida Times-Union in Jacksonville, Florida. He joined the team in January 2019. Prior to that, he served as a beat and investigative reporter focused on covering Jacksonville City Hall, the largest municipal government in Florida.
Before joining Jacksonville in 2013, Nate worked as a reporter for newspapers in the Florida Panhandle and South Louisiana, where he wrote about hurricanes, oil spills, small-town corruption, Mardi Gras, and Army Corps screw-ups, and bingo nights at the senior citizens center.
