At the age of 14, Natasha Bassett attended her first audition and was cast as the lead in “Romeo and Juliet” by the Australian Theatre for Young People.
She afterward enrolled in the National Institute of Dramatic Art. The Sydney Theatre Company then hired Natasha to play in Cate Blanchett’s theatrical adaptation of “Bookends.”
While still in school, Natasha earned the lead role in the MTV movie Dungoona (2009) and made guest appearances on Rake (2010), Wild Boys (2011), and Cops L.A.C. (2010).
Following her high school graduation, she co-starred with Toni Collette and Liev Schreiber in P.J. Hogan’s movie Mental (2012) before moving to Paris to take the lead in the movie The Last Goodbye (2013).
When she was 19 years old, she was awarded a screenwriting scholarship by the ArtStart Screenwriters Program, and she wrote and directed the short film Kite (2013).
The Rhode Island International Film Festival, the Balinale International Film Festival, and the Big Bear Lake International Film Festival all show highly regarded short films.
Before relocating to Los Angeles for the NBC series Camp, Natasha went to New York City to attend the Atlantic Acting School (2013).
Her next films include the independent drama Katie Says Goodbye (2016), starring Olivia Cooke and Mary Steenburgen, and Hail, Caesar! (2016), starring George Clooney, Scarlett Johansson, and Channing Tatum as the 1950s starlet Gloria DeLamour.
