According to Millie Bright in an interview, “There are so many stories of parents who forbid their children from playing football because they ‘don’t want them to become a lesbian’ that I have no idea how to count.” She has also witnessed some champion athletes receiving criticism because of their sexual orientation.
These antiquated viewpoints demonstrate how sexism and queerphobia cannot coexist and must be actively opposed if we are to create a society where everyone is allowed to engage in their preferred sports. When she was 12 years old, Millie experienced bullying from her teammates as well.
After she was identified as a bully by other pupils, she started receiving numerous epithets from them. In addition, many teenagers are denied the opportunity to play their preferred games in schools, colleges, and gaming organizations based solely on their sexual orientation.
Despite not being a lesbian, Mille Bright loves and supports the LGBTQ+ community and wants to recognize and appreciate their individuality. She requests that everyone treat them equally and show them the same respect, love, and support that they do for straight people.
Similar to that, everyone is free to play the game and do anything they like. No one can stop them because of their varied sexual orientations. People should also accept and value people with different sexual orientations.
