Read in-depth details on Mike Geier.

Before settling in Atlanta in 1995, Mike was a member of the touring “Swing Noir” band The Useless Playboys. Around this time, he formed Kingsized, an Elvis tribute band. Geier decided to try a clown-themed side project called ‘Greasepaint’ several years into this band, which became the foundation of Puddles’ later alter ego.

Puddles started out as a Shriner clown but evolved into ‘Puddles Pity Party,’ in which he wears a whiteface clown costume. Geier considers himself distinct from Puddles and has refused to deviate from his persona. The two characters do have one thing in common: they both have a singing voice and enjoy singing cover songs.

Puddles has a depressed demeanor and dislikes speaking on stage or giving interviews, which distinguishes the two personalities. Puddles Pity Party was fortunate enough to be invited to join Aqua Teen Hunger Force on their 2010 tour. Mike, on the other hand, appeared in several scenes of Sleep No More, which was performed at New York’s immersive theatre, Manderley Bar.
