Apart from his brother Cory Wurtenberger, Zach hasn’t revealed much about his family background.
However, when discussing his family, Zach shared that his parents have been an unwavering source of support in every conceivable manner.
He feels lucky to have them. They supported him through tough times, and he hopes to repay their kindness someday.
Zach’s sibling Cory is enrolled at Vanderbilt University, pursuing a future in law school.
A dedicated “Big Brother” fan, Cory sees himself as a skilled public speaker aiming to use his persuasive abilities to win the $750,000 prize.
During the live season premiere, Cory was on the nominations block but was promptly saved by Head of Household Reilly Smedley.
Before entering the house, Zach conveyed his immense pride in his brother.
He compared Cory to Willie Hantz, who joined “Big Brother” following the fame of his older brother Russell Hantz on “Survivor.”
While Willie faced controversy for a physical altercation that led to his expulsion, Cory is expected to take a different path.
In “Survivor 42,” Zach is mainly known for being the first contestant eliminated and for his romantic connection with the eventual winner, Maryanne Oketch.
She famously described Zach as “literally picture perfect” to Jeff Probst after his elimination.
Following the season’s CBS airing, they playfully changed their social media names to “Zach Oketch” and “Maryanne Wurtenberger.”
